Order Fulfillment Associate

Location: 8300 Lane Drive, Watervliet
Position Type: Multiple Openings on 2nd and 3rd Shift, Full-Time, Part-Time and Temporary Positions Available
Hourly/Salary: Hourly - Competitive pay based on experience

Summary: Using technology, fulfill domestic and international customer orders through picking, packing and shipping in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize handheld RF device to locate inventory, assemble customer orders from stock and transport orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station
  • Check accuracy and prepare orders for shipment utilizing tote scanning
  • Pack orders utilizing proper packing methods to make best use of carton space and packing material
  • Correctly calculate package weights, prepare invoices and process packages using shipping meter and rate chart
  • Participate in routine cycle counts
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Replenish stock levels in assigned bin locations from stock locations
  • Meet and maintain accuracy and productivity level requirements
  • Prepare delivery trucks for daily routes and cosmetically maintain delivery trucks
  • May drive vehicle to transport items between buildings or transport items from several locations for shipment
  • Partake in overall housekeeping of distribution center including cleaning, organizing, dusting, sweeping, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with related ability to acquire and utilize computer technology. Minimum one year of experience in an industrial or commercial environment.

Physical Requirements:
The employee is frequently required to reach with arms and hands, stand, twist, bend, walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee is frequently required to work extended time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends.
