The performance and motorsports world is saddened by the accident that claimed the life of Scott Kalitta on Saturday, June 21. Scott (46) was a two time NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Top Fuel Champion. Factory has reduced MAP and Unilateral Selling Prices on the following 40 Series mufflers: Part #'s 42441, 42443, 42541, 42543, 43041, 43043, and 430402. This new pricing is effective immediately. Alan Grove Components has announced that all dropship orders will now be charged a $10.00 handling fee (previously no fee). In addition, K-Motion has announced that all dropship orders will now be charged a $10.00 handling fee (previously $5.00).

Company has implemented new fees for dropshipments and special orders. Effective immediately all special orders sent to Motor State under a value of $1,000 will be charged an additional $100 service charge. However, on factory dropship orders, there is no minimum value, but the order will now be subject to a $25.00 handling fee. Boyd Coddington, SEMA Hall of Famer and longtime Hot Rod industry icon died Wednesday morning at the age of 63. Recognized worldwide as an automotive designer, builder and fabricator of innovative Hot Rods, Coddington worked with other top designers, including Larry Erickson, Thom Taylor, Chip Foose and Jesse James. Foose and James worked in Coddington's shop for a number of years. A longtime contributor to charitable organizations, Coddington and his wife Jo founded the Coddington Foundation. In addition to his induction into the SEMA Hall of Fame in 1995, Coddington was also welcomed into the Grand National Roadster Show Hall of Fame, the Route 66 Wall of Fame and the National Rod and Custom Museum Hall of Fame, to name but a few. Hot Rod magazine voted him "Man Of The Year" in 1988. The Hot Rod and Performance Industry will miss him immensely.

As a result of the recent split of VHT and PJ1 products, the PJ1 brand/factory has revised their pricing structure. This has resulted in an average price increase of 72%. Company has converted all part numbers from a FOUR DIGIT to a FIVE DIGIT part numbering system. For example, part number 2805 now becomes part number 28050. Call us if you have any questions about this change.

Koni products will now only be stocked and sold in the quantities specified on their price list. For example, even though a shock may be priced each, they are boxed and sold in pairs. For these items that are sold in pairs, new pricing reflects this pair value and prices have been reset accordingly. We have also adjusted market sensitive items based on the percentage of increase from their new price sheet dated January 1st. All descriptions will now reflect product quantity per package. Denso has lowered prices on most popular spark plug part numbers. Hypertech HyperPac Tuners (83xxx, 84xxx and 85xxx Series) have been reduced. Finally, Painless Performance has adjusted all pricing on the Striker II units. Be sure to check your selling prices to ensure marketability and salability of these items!

Vendor has decided to RE-USE a part number series that was discontinued some years ago. Part number series 420xxxxx was originally for the 'Heat-Barrier' Mid-Top shoe. Now the part numbers have come back under the 'Pit Shoe' product line. Be careful when using this part number series and make sure you are ordering the correct product for your customer.
